Festive Japanese tenugui celebrating Children’s Day with colorful koi
Three colorful carp swim proudly in the sky, carried by the wind on May 5th—Kodomo no Hi, or Children’s Day in Japan. This cheerful Japanese towel pays tribute to this beloved tradition. Dyed using traditional techniques, the lightweight 100% cotton tenugui adds a joyful touch to any interior, whether used as a towel or decorative wall hanging.
For easy hanging, consider a wooden tenugui support.
Note: Tenugui is a fine Japanese cotton fabric, intentionally unhemmed for quick drying. The edges may fray slightly at first—just trim any loose threads, and the fabric will naturally stabilize after a few washes.
